High-Temperature Sewing Thread

One of the two preferred removable and reusable insulation assembly methods, high-temperature sewing thread is manufactured by stranding ultra-fine .0017” (as fine as human hair) wire together and adding a polyester coating that lubricates and facilitates sewing.  Available in 304 stainless steel and Inconel constructions, high-temperature sewing thread maintains 1,000 and 2,000°F service temperatures, respectively.  Though fire retardant, the polyester coating is engineered to melt away during use.
