Mesh Rings

ACS Industries, Inc. mesh rings are an integral part of any catalytic converter and other after-treatment support system.  From gas-tight seals to engineered axial and radial support rings, these compressed knitted wire mesh elements are custom designed for each application.


Complementary to support mesh rings, our gas-tight, patented V-Seals are used in catalytic converter assemblies to prevent exhaust gas from bypassing the monolith.  These compressed knitted wire mesh elements have been in production since 1986 with over 100 million units shipped.  During this run, their exceptional durability and operational performance have yielded no warranty issues.


These compressed knitted wire mesh elements are seamless erosion barriers for both intumescent and non-intumescent mat supported substrates.  Designed for use in high-temperature and turbulent exhaust systems, they offer excellent hot gas impingement and erosion protection.  ACS Industries, Inc. has shipped over 100 million Z-Seals.


L-Seals offer seamless erosion barriers compatible with mat supported after-treatment substrates.  What sets them apart, however, is their “L” shape design.  In addition to providing edge protection, this feature was engineered to provide sufficient radial and axial support to hold the substrate in place on its own.  L-Seals are also the primary end-seal used in diesel particulate filter (DPF) applications.
