GS Composite

Developed specifically for catalytic converter and after-treatment substrate support applications, ACS Industries, Inc.’ GS Composite is a seamless mat alternative complete with a non-carcinogenic, non-sacrificial organic binder.  Produced in slurry form, GS is “painted” in layers onto any shape substrate with each coat increasing its service temperature and functionality.
GS Composite is also extremely versatile.  With both intumescant and non-intumsescant versions available, it offers superior mounting support in all operating temperature ranges.  For cooler applications such as diesel converters where inlet gas temperatures may only reach 400°C, the cold-hold problems that vermiculite mats experience are eliminated.  In hotter applications, such as gasoline converters, intumescant GS formulas can incorporate vermiculite as needed.  Because its holding power is not dependent on vermiculite expansion, ACS Industries, Inc.’ GS Composite will stay in place no matter what.
